Hello, i decided i'm going to buy a new psu i think the random freeze reboots is from the psu. witch are random they don't happen all the time. i used a meter and it said i was getting 11.8

That being said are the

XFX Core Edition 550W

Good? i just need enough juice to run my...

GTX 560 SE
Amd fx4100
4 120mm led fans
1 LCD fan controller
2 sticks of kingston hyperx blu 8 gigs total
GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2 AM3+ AMD 760G Micro ATX

The one i'm using is the builder edition the corsair 500w.

"edit http://www.amazon.com/XFX-ATX-550-Power-Supply/dp/B004R... Link to the psu i'm hoping will fix my issue"

Hard drive scanned 0 bad sectors/no errors or issues i could see.
Memory Scan 0 errors nothing detected.
Meter read 11.8 while checking the psu

Cpu Temps - Normal idle 12 to 15 c
Gpu Temps - Idle 32 c

"problem - computer can run for hours and can freeze for a second then reboot, it is so random that i can't tell when it will happen"

Awesome thanks for the replys, trying to avoid a bad psu, just need one that doesn't lie. example you can buy a 600 watt cooler master and guess what you get 450 watts! they shouldn't be allowed to sell psu.

"oh and thanks for that website it is cheaper!"

Hi,
Related to this can I ask for some opinion? - I got a new XFX Core 550W psu and 7870 xt (Tahiti LE) recently and the fan on the PSU starts running fast and loud (like it's at max) when gaming:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 @3.6Ghz
Powercolor 7870 Myst Edition (Tahiti LE)
8gb 1600mhz DDR3
1 Samsung 320gb sata 3 HDD
1 Creative Titanium sound card
1 system fan

I can't figure out why the fan on the PSU gets so loud. Is it because the load of the components is high for the PSU? I calculated that 550W would be loads for this system. (An online PSU calculator gave 475W total at load, with the CPU overclock)
I might have to get a different PSU because it's too loud for me, unless I change something.
I have tried using my old 5850 gfx card instead and... PSU fan does not spin up and get loud when gaming.

Should I be going for a 600W + PSU ?
Thanks for any help!
