I TRIED TO CLEAN THE FAN ALONGWITH OTHER HARDWARE OF MY DESKTOP AND SIMULTANEOUSLY REPLACED THE POWER SUPPLY ... THE SYSTEM STARTED WITH SOME FAULTS AT THE FIRST TIME AND SOME TIME LATER IT HAD SHUT DOWN AUTOMATICALLY (AND IT KEEPS DOING IT ) .. HOW CAN I DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM WHETHER ITS THE FAULT OF THE NEW POWER SUPPLY OR IS IT SOME HARDWARE THATS CAUSING THE PROBLEM...... HOW CAN I ISOLATE THE FAULTY HARDWARE .... CAN WINDOWS HELP ME WITH SOME APPS ..?

Solution
If you don't want to use the old PSU, the best thing to do is to first check if the shut down is a result of overheating.

Use any of the following: Speccy, AIDA32, AIDA64, RealTemp, CoreTemp, HWMonitor CPUID to check the Temps for CPU and GPU prior to shut down and post back.
