today is the day where i go and blow my budget of 280-290pounds maximum or 431.72 US Dollar as i am in the uk i am currently seriously thinking this is what i want

amd fx 8350
G.Skill 8Gb DDR3 1600 (2x4Gb) CL9 RipjawX Dual-Chan Kit or
G.Skill 8Gb DDR3 2133 (2x4Gb) CL9 RipjawX Dual-Chan Kit not sure if board will support this speed memory

ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AM3+,DDR3,SLi,7.1 Snd, GBLan, ATX or
MSI 990FXA-GD65 AM3+,Sli/Cfire,USB3,SATA3,GBLan,ATX

have already a corsair tx 750
geforce gtx 660 twin frozr 3 oc

will be used for gaming but i no about the i5 3570k but as i have only had amd cpus in the past am not really sure i can bring myself to buy intel and as far as the uk budget goes i am on my limit so really cant spare any more money for anything else

Solution
I would go with 3570k, i own it myself, it is very good for gaming, plus with availability to overclock, this part won't bottleneck your pc. And now for MoBo http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-p8z77vlk i would look for this series models :). BUT between your choises i would go for MSI 990FXA-GD65 AM3+,Sli/Cfire,USB3,SATA3,GBLan,ATX because of system bus, plus it has 6 6 Gb/s Slot(s) when asrock 5 6 Gb/s Slot(s).
Plus MSI is bigger in dimension, but has more usb ports, so decide now for yourself :)

And would go for G.Skill 8Gb DDR3 1600 (2x4Gb) CL9 RipjawX Dual-Chan Kit

With ASRock mobo you will have to overclock to use 1600Mhz ram and upwards. The MSI mobo does support 1600 without an OC. So if your not comfortable with OCing in order to maximize the ram use go with MSI.

Ram hardly effects gaming performance at all though so don't worry with the higher speed ram. G.Skill is a good choice.

With your processor if you don't mind changing, Intel will give you better gaming performance although it shouldn't be an issue unless you play CPU intensive games like Planetside 2. Here is an alternate build if you want.

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K
Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme3
Ram: G.Skill 8Gb DDR3 1600 (2x4Gb)

well in the end i spent a little more than i wanted but here is what i got

Corsair 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz RED Vengeance Memory Kit CL8 1.5V

Asus P8H77-V LE Z77 Socket 1155 8 Channel HD Audio ATX Motherboard

Intel Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz Socket 1155 6MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor

think it should be just a slight upgrade from the quad core 9600 and 4gb of ddr 2 800 i running now
