which sapphire 7970 do you have as one they sell only supports 3 monitors but the other supports 4, on the 3 monitor setup one of the dvi sockets tend to be shared with the hdmi port so you will need a display port to dvi adapter.

I think this only applied to older model cards before the 7*** series. I have no problem running 4 monitors from my 7950. 2x Display Port, 1x DVi, 1x HDMI.

For the OP, what happens when you plug in the 3rd monitor. Can you see it at all in the AMD Control Center software? Have you tried switching the non-working monitor with one of the working ones to make sure the issue isnt the monitor itself?

if you check their website, some of their 7970's do only support 3 monitors which are the 2 dvi, 1 hdmi, 1 displayport model, your 2 displayport model supports 4 monitors anyway and would not have any port sharing.

they tend to only come with 2 ramdac's so will only support 2 non displayport monitors at a time.

i think op will need an active displayport to dvi adapter.

You're right, I didnt read his original post right. Didnt realize he had 2x DVI vs 2x Display ports.

One of the three connections has to be a display port. Either with a cable or an ACTIVE adapter. I got an active DP to DVI adapter for ~20bux from newegg.

Eyefinity doesnt work unless at least one port is a DP
