Hey I'm trying to build a new computer with a $1000 budget. I'd like to get the best out of the $1000. I'm not sure if it's possible to get a i7 3770K PC build and be under $1000. Can I get some help? It'll be used for streaming console games.

This in your case is the best part list yet and the reason why is because WiFi is going to be very important for your build. So I put high end wired and wireless cards in your build. I put in a GHz EVGA grapics card and a super cool cpu cooler.

the amd cpu is from microcenter so add $20 to that and the 3770k is better for streaming compared to the 8350, the 3770k is a little overkill which it also has hyperthreading which will benefit you for streaming and all other editing that will be done

This build is more expensive because he added a SSD which you really don't need since your only gaming. So don't waste your money and just get a HDD.

It has a SSD, a better case and a CPU cooler.

This is the same as his but with an 8350 over a 3770k

He would need a WiFi card because that is how he would be geting his game, is over the internet. it does matter how powerful your GPU is if you can't get the best stream. And the cooler is optional.

you make my head hurt, why would you stream over wifi when you will 99% of the time hardwire the Ethernet port into the mobo?

I was trying to keep his options open for him. Everyone does not use Ethernet you know and plus what if he wants to plug it into a home theater he wouldn't need it. I gave him dedicated cards because it keeps the system cooler and more quite.

They really need to limit the quoting on this forum, it makes my finger hurt scrolling past every reply.

@RaisingTheBarHD I know right, why would anyone stream with WiFi? I thought I had MicroCenter turned off, hmm , well, here it is with no MacroCenter.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1fbbx

The 3770k is a bit over priced in my opinion, since in streaming it's either just above or just below the 8350.

Edit: Oh I know what it is, PCPartPicker BBCode script doesn't account for Combo deals.

plug it into a home theater? what do you mean by this. If he wants to plug it into a home theater you just plug it into an optical port for audio. Plus the OP did not mention anything about a home theater he stated he wants a live streaming build and that why he does not need wifi, Hardwire is going to be better and why spend extra on a card.

Once again by saying he "could" turn the build into a home theater system I am just accessing all the variables. And once again he might not use Ethernet even though it far exceeds the capacity of wireless gaming. I personally have came across people who didn't even know what Ethernet was, so I always give that choice, and if you read I added a dedicated wired port to. He has the option of buying ether one. ONCE AGAIN NOT EVERYONE USES ETHERNET.

Hey, thanks for settling that, maybe he'll calm down now. The HAF 912 is pretty cheap and has good airflow.

Okay to clear out things and have a better understanding of what i want
Its going to be wired
Under $1000
Preferred i7 3770k if itll be under 1k ill prefer the i7
The case can be a not so good looking one as long as its compatible

Everyone forgot that the OP wants to stream console games. God , why doesn't anyone read the thing which is necessary. live streaming console games doesn't need a GTX 760 , but needs a capture card , 8GB RAM ( I would recommend 12GB or 16GB TBH ) and most importantly a capable CPU. Here is what I would tell you to get -

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor ($149.99 @ Microcenter)
Motherboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme4 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($146.50 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($35.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($35.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($35.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($54.49 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB Video Card ($159.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: XFX 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($16.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.98 @ Outlet PC)
Other: Elgato Game Capture HD ($160.00)
Total: $975.88

The Game Capture HD is great for recording/streaming PS3/Xbox360 Gameplay and the FX8350 + 12GB RAM + 650TiBoost combo will stream well. I hope I helped. Also if you didn't like the suggestion , get a build that matches the recommended requirements that Twitch mentioned in the article mentioned above.

Did you mean to put the 8320 on this build? And how good is the 8350 compared to an i7 or i5?

For streaming , all three options are great , but the extra cores and thread + low price make the FX 8320 or the higher clocked FX 8350 the best choices in your case. Also the GTX 650Ti Boost if SLIed can *almost* be a GTX 770 and easily beat a HD 7970 ( Non GHz ) edition and GTX 680 , so your live streaming PC will even become a gaming PC. And the a single GTX 650TI Boost on its own can still play todays games on low-medium settings at 1080p and give 30FPS+. Also I didn't mean to add a FX8320. I meant no one is adding a capture card/device which cost you more than 150bucks and no OS , which costs 90 bucks. These are practical things and needed for the PC. If you have a Capture card/device and/or a usable OS copy ( not Ubuntu or any Linux ) mention that.

I have a capture card but i will need an os. So do you think an AMD fx 8350 can stream 720p no lag? My internet speed is good so no worries.
