I am experiencing a few hitches here and there on this new mother board I just bought(Asus P8Z77 V LX) one of the problems is sometimes I will hit the power button and it won't turn on and today I had to shut it down because of a game crash and then windows was not running smoothly. So when I hit the power button, no power and then I hit it like five times after that I did this until I turned off the power bar then after i turned it on again, hit the button, I had power. what is going on?

It might be a power button issue.
Try disconnecting from the motherboard the 2 wires corresponding to the power button and strt the board by shortly touching with a screwdriver the 2 pins where the wires were connected (it's what the button does when pressed - it shorts the 2 pins).
