Should I go with 20 inch 1600x900 monitor or 21.5 inch 1920x1080 monitor?
I have a tight budget which is 125 Us Dollar.
I will use this monitor for gaming and office work.
My current monitor is 17 inch 1280x1024.

If you have a lower end card, you'd be better off with a 1600x900, such as this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

If you have a higher end card, I'd go with this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

or this:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005S0XYKK/?tag=pcpapi-20

Both the 1080p monitors have IPS panels, which give richer colours and have wider viewing angles. :)

You'll miss those vertical pixels when working, and probably when gaming, too (less vertical pixels means more aliasing). Go for a nice 1080p IPS monitor. The ASUS suggested above has much better response time over the LG.

I had a 1080p monitor and I added a 900p one, for fun. I hated the 900p cuz the difference was incredible. I sold the 900p and got another 1080p and never looked back. Lesson learned. Never choose 900p for gaming. You'll find out why quickly.

I have a HD 7770.
I guess stretching a little bit more money for 1080P is worth it.
And I will be upgrading the graphics card in the future.

Yeah, definitely grab a 1080p display, then!

That's an excellent choice. Good response time and an IPS panel - you won't be disappointed. Have fun with your new monitor! :)

I will get the 1080P as it looks much more future proof for gaming and office work.
