I just finished building my first pc, everything is plugged in and everything seems to be running just fine. Exept for the GPU. Everytime I try to boot from the windows 7 disc, nothing comes up on the monitor, even when I try to acces. My motherboard has no video output, so I have to connect my GPU to the monitor. My question is, is it not displaying video because the gpu driver isn't installed, or because my GPU is dead?

What cable have you used to connect the GPU and your monitor. Your monitor could potentially be on the wrong "source" or signal. For example if you are using a VGA cable to hook up the GPU and monitor then may have to change the source by clicking one of the various buttons located on the side or bottom of your monitor. Make sure that the 6 + 2 pin is connected to the GPU. socket.
