I read a lot and i do not get if the processor is not compatible with video cards for pci e 3.0. Can u explain in easy words if the i7 3930K dont Work with gtx 770 sli? Is there any performance loss because of the microprocessor? Ty and sorry for my Inglés i from Argentina!

it will work. you could go 3 generations down from yours and it still would work. I think what you are talking about is bottlenecking when the cpu cant keep up with the gpu and it slows down the gpu or vice versa. either way the more important thing is your motherboard and your psu. what is your full build?

Ty for the fast response. The thing that scares me with this processor is if i going to loss performance for the pci express 3.0 which is not supported, according to intel. I was going to ask for help in mother, i check ASUS Rampage IV Formula LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard or something in that price 300-450$. I plan to get the memory Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1866 MHZ (or something with that speed). I dont know how much voltage i going to need for this pc, i plan to overclock the cpu to 4,x (in the future like 1 o 2 years from now) and this is the cooler for the cpu : Cooler Cpu Corsair Hydro Series H110 Water Cooling. Can you help me with the psu too?

Ty a lot for your help!

it should only effect you if you are gaming at 1600p res or with multiple monitors
basically every generation of pci express doubles your bandwidth so you will only be able to have half the bandwidth. I believe that it only affects you if you are gaming at super high resolutions with multiple monitors but i would do some more research on that. the mobo is good its asus which typically makes good mobo's. you dont really need that much ram you wont see a noticeable difference unless you are editing videos or something like that. 8gb will be fine if you want less. the cpu cooler is excellent and for your psu 700w would be the minimum http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx any of the tier one psu's will do for you i personally have the x650 gold by seasonic and it runs like a dream.

Ty again. I just check and there is a patch that allow this cpu to run pcie 3.0.

"Use this patch along with the latest GeForce drivers to enable PCI-Express Gen 3.0 mode for GeForce Kepler-based graphics cards, on Intel Sandy Bridge-E (X79) systems. Run the executable, and reboot your system, for the patch to take effect."

Also I found many users Using This processor with high end video cards, nvidia titan and so .. I think the patch would be solved what scares me more of the cpu! I will buy this processor!

Ty for all your help and time. You are a nice person!

Greetings from Argentina
