I've been looking to upgrade my rig for a while, and I would like to find the best place to start. For the most part, I've narrowed it down to my CPU or hard drive, but my problem is this -- must I upgrade my motherboard before I do anything else? I know for a fact that what I have is unfortunately low-end, having only a single slot for a graphics card, but I've managed to upgrade upon my computer without buying a new one yet. In terms of CPU, have I hit my limit in terms of quality or am I able to upgrade to something higher up?

Don't worry about my budget right now, I'm just curious as to how high I can go on the ladder.

My Setup:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
PSU: Corsair CX600
GPU: Radeon HD 7770
CPU: AMD FX-4100
Hard Drive: 500GB
RAM: 8GB DDR3-1333
MOBO: Gigabyte M68MT-S2

Solution
Check your mobo at their web site, I think it can take up to the 8150, maybe the 8350....they should have a CPU compatibility list available
