My desktop is connected to my router via wifi. My desktop is located outside of my routers wifi range. Is there something I can plug into my desktop to create a strong wifi signal in my room?

I need this because I don't get cell phone service in my room and rely on wifi calling. Thanks.

I am confused as to what you are attempting to accomplish in regards to the post's title and your description.

You shouldn't bump your topic according to the ToS, try posting other information to try to get a response, such as steps you have taken to resolve the issue, your router make/model, your wireless adapter make/model. Distance from router to desktop.

A repeater will repeat the signal from your router allowing a seamless connection between hotspots. (roaming)
A bridge will take your wireless signal and turn it into a wired ethernet connection you would plug into.
An access point will take a wired network and extend it to the wireless devices.

Thanks. Basically, I just needed wifi in my room without moving my desktop or router. I believe repeater was the word I was looking for. Thanks again.
