Theres a sale in my place of a sapphire 6990 for $300. Currently have a 7870, planning to sell it to buy a 6990. What do you think?

NO NO NO. The 6990 was nicknamed the the "God of Stutter" for a reason. Also the price is too high. If it was 200 i'd say go for it but not 300.

for such price why not consider 7950 or 760?
