so i just got my gt 220 and after the starting windows it just goes into some sort off black-lighten screen and stays there for hours is it an OS problem or is my mobo messed up ?

(specs if you need them )

CPU : intel dual core e5200 2.5 GHZ

RAM:4GB DDR3

GPU: NVIDIA gt220 1gb DDR3

HDD :seagate 160 gb HDD

WIN 7 64 bit

Before you bought the Nvidia GT 220 card were you using an on board graphics solution on the motherboard it`s self ?.

If your answer is yes follow these instructions.

You need to boot your computer and enter the bios of the board.
The key to enter the bios can be F1,F2 or the delete key on your keyboard.
So on power up of the computer keep tapping the key in question.

Once in the bios you need to turn off your on board video.
Your primary graphics card (GT 220) is in the Pci-e card slot of the motherboard.
You need to set the option in the bios to Pci-e where it says primary display device.

Save the settings in the bios, then exit.
Make sure the vga cable is connected to the back of the GT 220 graphics card not the on board graphics.

It should work fine then.

Your obviously getting a post screen or you would not be saying when it goes to load windows.

If the screen stays black and the video cable is connected to your GT 220 card, and you have on board video output on the motherboard.

Swap the video cable to that.

If you get a picture of windows then you need to follow the steps in my other post.
