i didnt know that two versions existed until i opened the package. the rev 1.1 has a 8 pin power connector whereas the 1.0 has a 4 pin. my psu is a Corsair VS450

I've left mine open before...never had a problem....
But I would recommend to save for a proper supply for future...
Your supply will be older as it only has the 4 pins.. so I don't know how long that will last anyways!
I follow a rule that my engine needs an oil change every 5 months (synthetic) so my power supply in my pc needs a replacement every 5 years.

then there is no prob in leaving the first four pins? i wont be overclocking as b75 chipset dosen't support it. for normal usage its ok right? should i cover the first four pins or leave them open?
