I have had a GTX 560ti for a while and I feel it is time to upgrade. I have been looking at the GTX 780 and everything looks good except for the fact that it requires a 8 pin power slot. Will my current PSU, a Corsair TX850 do the job or will I need to upgrade that as well?

Oh no, don't upgrade, your PSU can SLI 780s with ease. They also have the right connectors, it's probably listed as a 6+2pin connector.
