The apps on my metro scrren will not open

I recently got this new laptop a sony one and well it worked fine in the beginning but later this problem began it only allows me to open desktop what should I do?

Let me ask, is the symptom that you click on an app, and it starts to open but just spins back to the main app screen?

If so, there hasn't been a fix yet for this bug except to reinstall windows. In your case, with a new machine, I'd take it back for a replacement, unless someone else here has finally figured out a fix for this corruption bug.
