Here are my parts

Fractal Define Design R4

AMD A10 5800k

Biostart Hi-Fi A85W

Crucial Ballistix Sport 2X4 gig

Corsair 430w PSU

Caviar Blue HDD

Lite on BR/DVDRW

I have it connected to my HDTV, when I turn it on the fans turn on but the video never connects. I don't think it beeps either, I get a faint beep, but I think it is coming from the optical drive. I usually get a bios post code 91 which says Driver connecting is started. I have also got code 54, but that code is not listed in my motherboards manual. Please help. Not sure if this could be it, but when i was installing the CPU I noticed one of the pins was bent. I bent it back being careful and it seemed to connect fine.

Powers up, code goes to 91 ("driver connecting") then stalls, still has power (fans, leds) but no change and no screen output. According to manual the post code sequence would follow with PCI bus initialization, console output connect (I assume this would give first screen signal), then usb, ide, scsi, password setup, then ready to boot. Don't know why it stops at 91, waiting for biostar support reply.

Tried battery removal reset, dvi and hdmi connections, even reseating the apu chipset, but no change. The link under "Maybe it will help" for no post is mostly for people who are not getting power and does not address the code unique to a85w motherboard.

This post was the only match I could find across web for A85w post code 91, so next step might be RMA to seller. Hope this extra info helps anyone with a solution.

Is it the low profile ram that came bundled in the newegg deal? if it is the ram is not compatible with the board. Newegg ofered a refund if i sent back the mobo and ramN but i contacted crucial and was able to get a comparable new set of stivks as a replacment, these are no longer low profile and as they told me are stable. check the reviews for the ram and their is more info on neweggs website.
