I recently bought a new heatsink and fan for my CPU since the old stock one was getting loud without actually cooling down my CPU. I figured by getting a new heatsink it would reduce the heat. After getting the new heatsink I tried to remove the old stock one from the motherboard. Unfortunately, being inexperienced as I am, I pulled off the heatsink, along with the CPU. I didn't realize the heatsink had bonded with the CPU and pulled it without releasing the CPU from the motherboard. After using the toaster to heat it up and remove the CPU from the heatsink, I dropped the CPU. Pins were bent, and one was broken, but I managed to get the CPU back in. I installed the new heatsink, removing the old paste off the CPU. After I had it all installed again I tried to boot my computer, but my displays did not display booting even though my computer had booted, with the fans running and the harddrives turning over. I checked this site and even look at the http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems forum to help. I tried all the steps, but nothing seemed to help. So far this is what I know.
The CPU gets hot with the computer on.
Motherboard does not beep with the memory slots empty
Even with only one Memory stick, displays do not stay on.
The video cards are relatively new and I doubt they are the problem
I think pulling on the heatsink and thereby ripping out the CPU with the latch down could have affected the motherboard in some way. I just need to know what to purchase, CPU or motherboard, or both if really necessary.

The Motherboard is an ASRock 970 Pro 3
The CPU is an AMD FX-4170 Zambezi

Not sure if that helps or not. Any advice would be appreciated. I do realize that most of these problems would not have happened if I had had more experience and care while handling my computer. If any more information is needed I will gladly supply. Thank you for reading.
