Ok so I got this message a few weeks ago saying that my hard drive was bad and that I needed to back it up and replace it.

So the problem here is that I can manage to get into the BIOS part of it.. But if I want to run windows normally it will freeze up on me while windows 7 is booting up and that is as far as I can go...

Any options besides ordering this recovery disk(s)? (See link below)

PS- I just received my new HDD from new egg which is a WD Blue 1TB.

Thanks like always =)

Do you hear a clicking noise from it? If it has a clicking noise then its dead. The clicking is the reader hittingvthe sides of the HDD because it can't control itself and can't find files because well, its just dead.

Right now I am able to Run the "Acer Recovery Management" This will bring my PC to its factory setting and of course it said that Driver C will be completly erased..

So if this process doesn't work the only option will be to order the erecovery disk from e machines?

EDIT: I am trying to do these steps. I will give you guys a follow up within minutes.

Yes you will have to lose everything, and if that doesn't work, then yeah you're going to have to order from them or buy a new HDD

I am replacing de HDD as I mentioned before. Since it saying that the original is bad (seagate).

Is been replaced with a WD Blue 1 TB. But still I need to load up all the stuff to the new HDD, that is why I am trying to find a solution to my problem by just backing up the OS recovery factory setting into a CD/DVD or a flash drive so I wont spend $20 bucks to download it.

Oh okay now I understand what you mean. I dont think you can back up the OS, but you can go to microsoftswebsite and download the Windows 7 installer onto your hardrive then put it onto your CD. Read steps on how to do it from microsofts website.

After you put it on your disk, you just insert your new HDD into the primary slot for your computer and boot up with the CD and install windows 7 onto your new HDD. You don't need a products code to install Windows 7, but if your PC came with a sticker on the side of it saying Windows 7 and with the product code on it, just enter in that product code when it asks you. But remember you do not need to enter it in.
