I am having hard time deciding which monitor I want. I am replacing an LG FLATRON IPS235V monitor. 5ms and 60hz aren't too good for me. So please help me pick asap. I'm going to pick one of them up in 10 hours.

Both are ASUS so here goes.
-VS238H-P
-VN247HP

Thank you for your time.

Really, provided it isnt broken I would stick with your LG monitor. Similar size to those ASUS monitors and its IPS, which is better than a 2-3ms lower response time.

I am not sure I would go for a 120hz monitor unless he has the cpu/gpu power to drive that......unless he is playing old games not many gpu's can drive modern games at high settings and 120hz

The VS238H-P shows that it has 55-75 refresh rate. And its going to be a trade in through Best Buy, Geek Squad is refunding me the whole amount by how much I paid for the LG. So basically I think around $260.00 bucks are how much I'll be getting. I can't use Best Buy gift card at any where except them. So if you have any better monitor for me to check from BestBuy.com other than those 2 monitors I asked please, feel free to add your suggestions. Thank you.

You can't have IPS/PLS quality AND 120Hz but you can have 60Hz IPS/PLS and still excellent response. With a quality RTC overdrive like ASUS's Trace Free feature, you can get excellent pixel response without sacrificing image quality. I'd recommend the ML229H, ML239H or maybe VS239H-P (check with ASUS that last one does feature Trace Free). There are many other excellent options but they're a little more expensive than these models you're looking at. Alternatively, Iiyama ProLite X2377HDS or XB2380HS.
