GTX 660 SLI power consumption 650watts seasonic gold

ive built a new system and my ever so loving army brother came home gettin me a new GFX card. now i got to SLI forcefully. :D

my problem is

i5 4670k
GA-z87x-UD3H
DDR3 8GIG CL9 Hyper X kingston (2x4gb)
Storm Scout with 4 extra fans total
Caviar Black 1TB HDD
Corsair Neutron SSD 128gb
Asus 22" LED
CoolerMaster X6 CPU Cooler


2x SLI GTX 660 Gigabyte OC
PSU Seasonic X-series 650watts 80+ gold modular.

overclock to 4.0Ghz maybe, but not beyond.

can my PSU handle this?

660 has a TDP of 140W, so 140+140+84 (CPU) = 364W. Add some for MB, HDD, SSD, fans etc. and you should still be fine, especially given that's a very very good PSU.

You should be fine, though don't OC too far.

Oh, and you could probably run your current build on a 450W+ PSU.

ur current PSU is at level with your requirement. Better get a 750w if u intend to use 660 in SLi. gTX 660 tend to use 290+watts in full load. an average 750w PSU will offer you approx 60A on 12v rail so u will be able to use the 660s in SLI and have a little head room.

thanks im really gettin worried to change my PSU. i bought it last month and dont want to change it just for the sake of +100watts on 750watts PSU. thanks
