At least get a Hyper 212 EVO / 212X for cooling, don't think you'll be able to afford an SSD as well though, but if you can afford a 60-64GB one that would significantly increase boot/load times on programs and general navigation speed. Ideally, you want 120GB, it's much more cost efficient compared to a 60-64GB. Aim for Sandisk Extreme, Samsung 840 or Kingston Hyper X 3K.

EDIT: I agree, if it's one or the other, go the SSD, but if you really wanna overclock I wouldn't expect to do it at healthy temps with the stock heatsink.

Humm, overclocking is a no-go with that stock cooler, thats a good way to set fire to your computer. To cut to the chase, buying a sdd would give a more noticeable performance increase than overclocking to 4.0 GHz with something like a CM Evo and maybe buying more ram to supplement it.

In my opinion, go with a sdd
