Hey guys. I decided to make a gaming build using some parts from my old computer (2 years old)

The build is the following:
Intel i5 4570 3.0 GHz
8/16Gb of RAM
Sapphire Radeon HD7870 2Gb
*** MY OLD 450W DELUX POWER SUPPLY
*** MY OLD 1TB HDD SATA II
Gigabyte H87-HD3
Superflow SF-1000B

I want to keep the PSU and HDD because i don't want to get over my budget. Is my PSU good enough to get the best performance? Is this build build the best for gaming for it's price?

Its a decent build considering your saving some old parts. your 450w PSU depending on brand, should be fine. None of your parts are OC, and providing you don't overclock them you should be just fine. You haven't outlined pricing, so it's hard to comment on that.

The pricing is somewhere at 533.3 Euros

Can you tel us the exact brand of PSU? If it is just a generic PSU, considering that it is 2 years old, I would STRONGLY suggest that you not re-use it. I would suggest you get something from Corsair, Seasonic, Antec, BeQuiet, XFX, PCP&C, or Enermax in the 450-550 watt range.
The PSU is the heart of your system, without it NOTHING works! It is the only component of your build that can destroy ALL the other components should it fail. Never skimp on the PSU, it is false economy!

well komplett or dabs.ie are the sites I use for purchasing my PC stuff. On the basis of a like for like comparison, I'm already at 530 yo yo's and have the fan still to locate. On that basis alone, I would say it's a reasonable price. Are you getting this stuff from a store/online?

Yes, i get them from http://www.emag.ro. It's from my country.

Well, you could continue to use your old PSU. You may be lucky and not have any issues. Or the whole thing may blow up in your face.

You pays your money and you takes your chances.

Good Luck!

You are starting to scare me now..
So Delux is not a good quality PSU?...and another question
Can you mount a Delus PSU (which mounts on top) in a case with the PSU that mounts bottom?

As far as mounting goes, the only issue might be that the wires from the PSU might be too short to reach everything.

As to the quality of Delux.. Who knows? I haven't heard anything about it, therefore I don't trust it.

Salut,

Don't get the HD7870 , get the Nvidia GTX 760 .. it has PhysX and it is worth it.

here is an example of the difference between PhysX and no PhysX
