I'am trying to game online with my gaming computer, however its very far from the route and the ping is so high i disconnect from every game. We have a wireless extender but it does not decrease the ping, what should i do?

Solution
are you pinging the router or some website/game? even wireless you should have really low pings. disconnects are likely more of a connection problem. i would just recommend running a cable and give up on wireless but if thats not an option you can get better antennas.

unfortunately if i run a ethernet to the route it would mean around 50 metres away. its a very large house. would a cable to the extender help?
i have access to a phone line would that help?

unfortunaly i cant run a cable through the whole house. could i take advantage of the phone line without mooving the modem?

if you have a phone line running to that modem or extender u can actaully use a rj45 connecter and use both those pairs on the phone line ot make it work since the other wires are there to reduce emi. you will be using the 4 center pins on that rj45 connector to get it to work. ( or leave it the way it is and plug it in)

as far as the wifi bridging you are using it causes severe lag since it cuts your bandwith in half even with a full signal and increases latency. your better option is to buy another access point and plug it in to the modified phone line if you can get internet on it. you can set the same ssids and use different channels and your speed and latency will be way better.
