Hello all !
I want to ask for guys who can help me :) So I overclock my CPU From 2.6GHZ->3.0GHZ (230 FSB) do I need set voltage to higher?

My Spec
CPU Intel Pentium E5300 2.6GHZ 2mb chase
Mobo Asus P5G41T-M LX
Ram Kinstone 4GB
PSU is 450wat (I think its to low right?)
Video Radeon HD4850 512 256bit

Solution

so your just using the fsb to overclock? is your multiplier locked? just using the fsb with out rasing the voltage will cause it to crash, you may not be able to even raise your fsb that high and have it stable just like on the old amd i have that the multiplier was locked and voltage was maxed out on.

yes I just increat only fsb from 200-> 230 buth I dont tuch the voltage reason I am beginer in that and whats is Multiplier ?

were those temps under full load or idle?

check in the bios to increase the voltage, bump it up .05 at a time and raise the multiplier if possible, the multiplier should be near the fsb adjustment

I'd disable speedstep, also c1e (under cpu tab) then you change power to high performance in Windows.
3 voltages to raise:
NB
Vcore
FSB term /VTT /Whatever they call it.
also..lower your RAM speed as you increase FSB so it doesn't limit you.
You should be able to raise fsb to about 350 on that board I think.
It will probably hard-wall there.

will your mobo support it? you have to check to see if you can even throw one in there that or buy a new mobo that you know you can overclock and has better featuresv
