This is my current consideration due to the tight fit with my Dual GPUS and lack of spot for a Sound Card as this one comes with one.

this is what you need. tried and true.

you might be thinking "the sennheiser has better sound quality". Well you are playing a game, you won't notice jack.
I would use the $200 saved to buy a separate pair of headphones if you want the good sound quality
  3. If you are a hardcore gamer I assume you’ve purchase a sound card and not using onboard sound, if this is the case id purchase one of the two following headsets. I've used many different headsets and when it came down to all the headsets these two have been the clear winners in my book. I am currently using the Steelseries through my testing and personal experience virtual/true surround sound 5.1/7.1 in a headset this is more a gimmick in comparison to a quality stereo headset however, Roccat Kave 5.1 is nice alternative to stereo but the headset is heavy. At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference.

    Steelseries Siberia v2
Noise Reduction, Light weight, 50mm sound driver

    ROCCAT Kave 5.1
Noise Reduction, True 5.1 but needs a USB port for power, Heavy, 40mm driver sound driver
