the speed difference!

Hi,
I want to know if there is much difference between 1TB caviar black 64MB sataIII and seagate 1TB sataIII 64MB ST1000DM003
I think the caviar model would be better but the question is, how much the difference is?

You won't notice anything different. But the wd has a 5 yr warranty and the sg is 2.

The ST1000DM003 has average Read/Write speeds of 156MB/s and a maximum Read speed of 210MB/s.

The WD Black maximum 1tb Read/Write speeds of 126MB/s.

The ST1000DM003 is the slightly faster drive. You probably won't notice any real-world difference between the 2 drives.

Seagate uses the same exact numbers on all drive sizes makes me believe it's not real. 126 is sustained not max. Sequential is probably the last thing you want to compare speed. Randoms are closer to normal activity.
