I currently have a nice 60hz monitor from samsung that is broken but I can fix it for around $75. Or I could buy a brand new 120hz monitor for about $230 on sale from tiger direct. I mainly play fps games like Battlefield 3 and planetside 2. Doesn't it make sense to spend the extra money? Will I notice a difference? I will be running two Gigabyte 770's 4gb edition in sli

There's defenitly a HUGE diffrence, especially in fps's.
with 2 770's it would be easy to maintain a 120fps in games like bf and cod, i say go for it.

Yes you will get a better gaming experience cause a 60Hz monitor can only render 60FPS and a 120Hz can then ofcourse render 120FPS so if you're playing games and you're getting over 60FPS go for the 120Hz monitor.
