IM GOING CRAZY. I've been researching laptops for 2 weeks for college. All I need is a laptop with a gtx 770m (which will most likely come with 4th gen intel which is perfect). That's all! It has to be slim enough for college classrooms. Budget: 1500. And no, I'm not buying the ridiculous RAZER blade. HELP ME ASAP. Thanks guys.

As far as i know its between that and the razerblade, the razerblade is pricey i'll admit, but its a good lightweight gaming laptop.
With the bad ass keyboard lol
Although you could try your luck with alienware but i'm pretty sure that would be beefy and extremely pricey.

The Sager NP8230 weighs in at 6.83lbs.

High performance laptop graphic cards produce a lot of heat. It and the CPU needs a large heatsink for effective cooling. The larger the heatsink the heavier the laptop will be.

The 14" Razor Blade is likely a highly engineered laptop to keep the weight down and effectively cool the GTX 770m. You are basically paying for the "highly engineered" part of the laptop. It is a boutique laptop which means it carries a boutique price.

Your options are:

1. Bite the bullet and pay the boutique price.
2. Buy a heavier laptop and less expensive laptop that has a GTX 770m.
3. Considering lowering your expectations to find a lighter laptop. Meaning settling for a GTX 750m or GTX 760m GPU.

Looks nice to me. The problem about settling is there are a bunch of laptops coming out soon that seem to be slim with 770m's with the new technology coming out and so it's hard for me to settle with something heavy. But the only reason I'm worried is because college kids tell me that heaavy laptops get anooying. I'm not a weak little kid though so I feel like it's not a big deal. Opinion on this thing?

Well, if you know there gonna be a bunch of slim laptops coming out with 770m's, then the best thing to do is wait. Especially if you are unwilling or reluctant to buy a 5.5lbs+ laptop.

I'm in similar situation, going to enter college in a week and after weeks of researching, I have still not found the perfect laptop =(
Although, the MSI GS70 which just came out looks decent, is less than 6 pounds, and has a gtx 765m with a 17.3" fhd screen.
The Clevo W230ST is a nice little 13.3" fhd with a gtx 765m, although I've been hearing mediocre reviews and problems with that laptop.
The MSI ge40 and ge60 are nice laptops too, with a gtx 760 and 765m, 14" and 15.6" fhd displays.
The Razer Blade 14 looks great, love the design, but the screen is mediocre and the price is $500 more than it should be.
Other than those, you'll have to start looking at the 7+ pound 1.5" thick gaming laptops...

You pretty much have to make some compromises, whether in size or performance =(
I guess that's just life. Good luck.
