Hi, roughly two-months ago I built myself a new gaming PC, something I have done in the past, as my current laptop wasn't able to properly preform the games I wanted it to. All was going well since then, until today, today I was playing TERA, and suddenly my PC shut off. I wasn't quite sure what caused the issue, so I attempted to reboot my PC. When I pressed the power button I saw my fan-light start up, and it began to spin for about 1-3 seconds, but then stopped spinning and its light turned off. I then tried turning it on 3 more times, but each time ended with the same results. This lead me to believe it may be a power-related issue, so I then waited about 5 minutes and tried it again, and now it is running again. I am quite dumbfounded as to which part caused the problem and needs to be replaced. I THINK this is a power-supply related problem, since the fans would light, start spinning and then stop, however, it may also be possible that this is some other issue all together.
I am really unsure of what the problem is at this point in time, and I was hoping someone could try to enlighten me as to what they believe may be the cause. If anyone has any suggestions or information they would like to share, it would be much appreciated.
