Hello everyone!

I have a small problem with my system. I bought a new mainboard, CPU and RAM.
Here is my system:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 4x3.40GHz
RAM: G.Skill 2GB PC3-10667U DDR3-1333 CL9 NT-Serie
Mainboard: ASUS M5A78L LE 760G Sockel AM3+ ATX DDR3
GPU: Radeon 5830 1GB
PSU: OCZ 600W

The problem is, every time that I try to turn the PC, he wont jump to "Post". He just receives electricity, but wont go to windows, or anything... I dont even hear a "BEP". I need then to turn it off, by pressing the Power Button for arround 5 seconds (or longer) and then turn it back on. Every second try it works. I dont get it. I assumed it was maybe the PSU, maybe it was too weak, but I have been using it on my old system (Intel Q8200, same GPU, 6 GB ram DDR2).

Can someone help me out?
Cheers!

I had the same exact thing happen to me. just an old and almost burnt out psu if its anything like my situation. Went out and bought a new one and everything was right as rain.

Thank you for your reply.
I am not sure if its a PSU Problem :/
I mean, it worked fine with the other system (was also a Quad core)... If I need to buy a new PSU, how many Watts do I need? I think 600 its too much maybe hehe

Generally Id say no less than a 550 watt but just to be safe 600 is a good number. I have an Antec high current gamer 80+bronze 620 watt psu powering an overclocked build and its doing just fine :) Hope this helps, I know exactly what youre dealing with right now lol

yes your psu should be enough, im just saying i had the same exact issue and mine was a power supply problem. the ram seating is a good idea though deffinatley check that first i didnt think of that.
