Building new PC want to wipe Hard drive and add windows 8 to SSD

I have an alienware x51 I want to remove all my files from the Hard drive. This is for when I want to put the hard drive into my new PC without windows 7 on so my ssd can boot in windows 8? This will be my first PC build and I have no idea how to figure this out.

  1. Best answer
    -Build the new machine
    -Put ONLY the SSD in
    -Install Win8
-Do all the things you should with an SSD - http://www.overclock.net/t/1240779/seans-windows-8-install-optimization-guide-for-ssds-hdds
-Verify the SSD is the only thing in the boot order
    -Install the HDD
    -Wipe it
