I've recently picked up a Asus Xonar DGX PCIE Gaming sound-card for my gaming PC. And the bloke at the shop said i'll have to disable my on board sound within the bios. Now I know what to touch in the bios and what not to touch.. could anyone tell me what i have to go into. My motherboard is a ASUS z77-P8VLX -P8VLX.

Cheers guys,

Ben.

Solution
On the ausu newer efi bios when you log in. Click on the advance tab to go into the advance settings of the bios. When you do you see an ai tab and advance tab.click on the advance tab then click on onboard devices.
It say audio manager or audio device. Click on the enabled button to disable it. Save then exit. When you go back into windows the relteck audio device will be gone.
