over heating cpu

hi.i've noticed a problem lately.my cpu is intel e7500core2dou.and it's over heating like shit , specially when i'm gaming.it get 78c sometimes. what's wrong?

remove the heatsink, apply new thermal paste, do a dust cleaning of the whole case and make sure there is nothing blocking the fans

could be poor contact or bad thermal compound, it might help if you redo the thermalcompound on the heatsink.

clean off the old stuff with isopropyl alcohol and apply a rice grain amount to the centre of the cpu then place the heatsink back on and when its flat push and twist it slightly and attach it.
