Greetings,
First and foremost thanks to TH for hosting such a brilliant forum comprising of equally helpful members.

My problem:
I just got a new graphic card, MSI Radeon HD6770 - MDIGD5
MoBo: gigabyte GA-G41M-es2L
CPU : Intel Dual Core E5400 2.7ghz
Ram: 2GB ddr2
HDD : 1 x 500GB SATA(7200rpm)
USB : one wifi dongle

So, I read all the stickies and that has confused me all the more, hence I'm posting this thread

I used extreme.outervision.com and got my recommended Wattage as 263W

Now I'm looking a very cheap PSU...so the one I've shortlisted is of VIP 400W gold SMPS

http://www.kunhar.com/vipcabinets/smps04.html

Well I cant find any details of this product, but I went to a shop and read that it gives 21A on +12v rail and its single12V rail, also according to extremeoutervision i need exactly 21A on 12v

And my reason of this PSU is that this is costing me 1450/- INR (24USD) and whereas Corsair 450 wats is 2400/-INR (40$)...therefore I'm confused...please help

Thanks in advance to the geniuses that will reply...:)

Solution
Do not, do not, DO NOT buy a cheap power supply. It's probably the single most important item in a rig to get high quality. The one you've linked is an absolutely terrible item. Get a quality power supply- Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, Silverstone... trust me, spend the money. Whichever Corsair 450w you're talking about, it's better than the VIP one, but I'd go with 500w just to give yourself a little extra headroom.

For example:

As rightly said by the green beret - " whatever you say officer"
I'll go with a better one...i dont have access to the product you've mentioned

so how about the Corsair VS450,
Please have a look at this
http://www.flipkart.com/computers/computer-components/power-supply-units/pr?p%5B%5D=sort%3Dprice_asc&sid=6bo%2Cg0i%2Cqbk&q=psu

Because your 6670 does not need an auxiliary pcie 6 pin power connector, it is entirely powered by the motherboard pcie x 16 slot.
That means that a 300w psu will do the job.

But, you should NEVER buy a cheap psu.
It can end up being a very expensive purchase.
First, such a psu will not deliver it's advertised power, nor do so in a case where temperatures are higher.
If or when it fails, it can damage anything it is connected to.
The psu you linked to shows evidence of being a cheap unit.
The web site does not list he +12v amps on it's spec sheet. That is suspicious.
The Corsair 430w unit, by comparison delivers 32 a.
70% efficiency is indicative of a cheap design.
My advice is to stay away and buy only a quality psu.
If you are already running OK with integrated graphics, go ahead and try your new graphics card.
It is likely to work.
For reference, here is a list of psu's sorted by quality tiers:

Yep, that would definitely be a preferable solution.

Haha, sorry for being overzealous, I just naturally cringe when people are looking to save money on their system, and they choose the power supply, the one component where you really shouldn't do that. ;)

Hey, sorry for the late reply was out...one thing I've learnt from this is not to save money on psu and I am going with corsair vs450 instead of vs350 because the difference is not that much!...Funny how these things are priced...
Anyways thanks a lot everyone for your speedy and helpful replies..
Cheers! :) (beer)

Also the vs350 has terrible reviews....please advice!
