I´ve installed a new memory module 4gb ram KINGSTON SODIMM DDR3 - 4GB - 1600MHz CL11 - SR X8 - PC3-12800 and the one is the PC is a Samsung PC3-12800. But the cpu wouldnt boot with the new ram.

The samsung ram has 1.28 v in each core acording to cpu z and the kingston one says its 1.5 v.

How could i make this work guys? Is it safe to change the voltage manually is the bios? The bios is up to date. Or could the memory be DOA? And what does that mean?

Thank you for your efford trying to help me.

What laptop? Could be a dead stick, could be they just don't want to play together, different voltages, prob different CL (the one is a high CL11) , most laptops don't let you adjust voltages and timings...

Its a Toshiba Satellite L 50 - A - 111, you can find more here: http://www.toshiba.pt/laptops/satellite/satellite-l50-a/satellite-l50-a-111/. Well tomorrow i´m trying the Kingston ram module on my sister laptop since it supports 1.5v to see if it works. Is it unsafe to install a ram on a laptop with non removable battery? And if i could change the voltage on the bios, would it be safe answell?

Thank you for your colaboration.
