I have a 7870 XT and I wanted to take advantage of steam's big picture mode. My display native resolution is 1680x1050 and my tv is 720p, both 60hz. I hooked up the tv into my desktop via hdmi, turned on my computer, and it autodetected the tv as main display. Then I opened the catalyst manager but couldn't find an option to switch back and forth between the 2 displays. I found an option to select my main one, so I selected my desktop and everything popped up my computer display after it. I turned off my computer again, turned it on back, and then I realized that even though the graphics were on my desktop display, the sound was coming from my tv speakers. I tried to tweak options here and there but couldn't find a solution, so I just unplugged the hdmi from my gpu and forgot about it.
Anyone here had the same problem? What should I do?
