Hahaha for gaming you want good single threaded performance FIRST off. Core count comes after that.
Since piledriver(eg 6300) improves on single core performance a lot above bulldozer(eg 8120), the 6300 has considerably better gaming gaming performance.

Perfectly fine.

Well even a 6300 would be better for gaming than a 8120. Especially if you are willing to overclock it.

You can also save some one the powersupply, a decent 500W - 550W unit is more than enough power
