how should i upgrade

i have an AMD c-60 1.00 GHz processor, 2 gigs of ram only 1.60 is usable, and 500 gig hard drive i tend to have multiple applications running at once and it gets slow and i'd like to know what piece of hardware should i upgrade

p.s. funds are limited and i have a compaq cq58 laptop

What do you plan on doing with it? If gaming then yes, if surfing the web and watching videos no.

no gaming just multitasking and watching videos. my laptop is currently running windows 8

Adding more RAM will most definitely help. Using <2gb in a Windows 7/8 is not going to make for a good user experience at all.

Then ya, just buy more RAM. Buy 4GB you'd be good to go.
