Could my system failure be from my PSU

I recently built this computer a few months ago and I started having problems (details here: http://www.pchelpforum.com/xf/threads/bsod-win8-and-more.149840/o)

Nothing worked and since the other day my pc won't even install a driver without a bsod or freezing. So my friends and I have deducted that I ahould probably just use my warrenties and get a new motherboard and cpu.

These are my specs, could anyone tell me if its possible the psu could be a problem? Because I don't want to get a new motherboard and cpu and have the psu somehow mess them up again.

Motherboard: Gigabyte z77x-udh3 Socket LGA 1155
CPU: i5-370k @3.4GHz
GPU: EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX570 1.2G video ram
RAM: 8GB ddr3
60gb SSD (for OS)
500GB 7500rpm internal (for everything else)
PSU: TX750w

P.S. - Extensive troubleshooting was gone through in the linked forum and the person who was helping kind of ended up just saying it was a hardware issue. Thanks

PSU problems tend to result in hard shutoffs and freezes rather than BSODs, but it's possible.

From my experience, you may want to look into the SSD and hard drive. I had an SSD that wasn't DoA, but would fail randomly. The OS would install fine (since it's installed in a way that bypasses the write cache) but under normal operation it would BSoD whenever I wrote anything to it, including installing drivers.

Ok Im gonna try and do a fresh install on the 500gb hd and see if it works, if not Ill try doing the same with my friends hard drive. Would you have any idea if that build should definitely work?

Ok guys so the CPU fan was jammed up with the fan's wires and I had no idea. Found out trying to RMA the CPU. So I fixed the wiring and the PC has been running fine for the first 24 hrs. I ran 3DMark and got these results:

Does this seem in-line with my hardware? Im concerned that my CPU sustained damage while trying to run the machine without a CPU fan.

If your CPU has sustained damage it will either crash often or not work at all. It will not suffer from a decrease in performance.

Fan's chewing up their own wires happens a lot. CPUs have protection mechanisms that will shut down the PC before they incur damage.

I'd say that you're fine.
