Card Drivers up to date, "working" - does not pick up signals.

July 12, 2013 6:37:10 PM

So I have been having all sorts of problems with my computer ever since I followed some advice to overclock my computer without an after market cooler...

Anyways, while some of these problems are troubling, really at the moment my inability to connect to my wireless network is affecting me the most. My laptop is currently in my living room hardwired to the router, a place where it doesn't work out too well.

So my wireless card is hooked in, and can be seen in my device manager:
which says it is up to date, and that everything is working ok, rolling back to an earlier driver doesn't fix anything either.

When I try to connect to networks, the only one I see is the one that is hardwired in right now:

I tried to manually connect to a network that is hidden or not broadcasting, and set up a connection to the network my router is sending out:
but I still cannot get internet on my desktop unless I wire it in (my laptop and ps3 however, pick up the signal fine.

I tired messing around with adapter settings, but to no luck, everything says it both works and doesn't at the same time:

Soooo I am not sure what I am doing wrong, or if I just need to get a new card along with everything else.
