I recently have been having some serious issues with I believe to either be my motherboard or RAM, if I put too much strain on it too often, or at once, it crashes instantly, it used to not do this, I was able to livestream for hours, and now I cannot even run the programs past 10 minuets on a stream live, before it crashes. I took out 4GB of my memory as I thought it was the problem, I was dual channeling the ram, but it wouldn't unlock, after numerous attempts to unlock (Got a dual channel pack of Ripjaws 4GB sticks) when working on my build, now it blue screens left and right. It's not very stable and I cannot livestream my games or do any video recording for my youtube channel, anyone have any ideas or can possibly help? I can give more specs as needed.
Edit: Also before I took the ram out it was reading 3.17GB of 4, and when I managed to unlock 7.17 of 8, I thought one of the sticks was faulty, but they both read 4GB alone, all the hardware is brandnew.

The one stick prob wasn't fully seated - now it it, so 7.17 out of 8 as mentioned is prob allocating some DRAM to system resources like video. On to the DRAM it self, initially make sure timings are right in the BIOS, check for CR (command rate, command timing to 2T or 2N (the letter doesn't matter but don't want it at 1T or 1N, and raise DRAM voltage to 1.55 and let me know

Take a stick of your Ripjaws memory out.
Have a look at the speed rating and all of the timing values, and the voltage the sticks run at.
Go into the bios, and check all the settings match what you have read on the memory stick it`s self.
If they are not then change the values to what the memory says, and the voltage of the memory if required.
If you have a memory remapping option in your bios make sure it is turned on.
You never mentioned what brand of power supply you are using in your system So if you can tell us how many watts it is and the brand.

When it was supposed to be dual channeling, and I used speccy, it was reading them as a combined ammount. They where both seated just fine, both clicked in.

I bought the PSU later, so it wasn't on that newegg list.

The BIOS is archaic and confusing, I was never able to find memory remapping or was ever able to select anything to do with memory in bios, I can change everything else but it wont let me touch the memory it's gray to me
I got my second stick I had out and the tag reads CL 9-9-9-24 1.50v

The 1T 1N thing was auto, i forced it to 2T; as for timing, it's on auto, too and voltage is on 1.50v Auto, the clock was right, 9-9-9-23 In bios, as well, but it wouldn't let me change anything. If I took timing off auto it filled the screen with timing threads and I didn't know which to change.

The memory may have tight timings.
by the look of it the board is running it at 11-11-11-24
But the stick says 9-9-9-24.
It should of read the timings of 9-9-9-24 off the stick.
So does the board support the memory speed ?
I will have a look at the manual for the board see if there may be something Amock.

Right.
Read this.
Advance DR AM Configuration
Press <Enter> to enter the sub-menu.
DR AM Timing Mode
Select whether DR AM timing is controlled by the SPD (Serial Presence Detect)
EE PRO M on the DR AM module. Setting to [Auto] enables DR AM timings and
the following “Advance DR AM Configuration” sub-menu to be determined by
BIO S based on the configurations on the SPD. Selecting [Manual] allows users
to configure the DR AM timings and the following related “Advance DR AM
Configuration” sub-menu manually.
Now set the ram timing as 9-9-9-24 as it says on the stick.
Anyway if you can do it give it a try.

It didn't have manual had Auto-Linked-Unlinked, I went to linked, as i figured it would set both and get rid of some confusion, this is how speccy reads it now , Single Channel, RAM
