Hello everyone I am so exited to order my parts and build for the first time. I have a tight budget but I have to decide between two cards. These two cards are the gtx 660 or the ti version. Now if I get the 660 I can get an ssd which I heard are great but I also heard the 660 ti is good as well. Now the 660 is 210 us dollars and the 660 ti is 255 us dollars. Is it worth it to spend the extra 45 dollars or should I go with a 660. Thanks for you help! I would also be open to any amd equivalents as I am using an amd cpu in my build.

if you want my opinion, value wise, the 650ti boost* is better for the dollar compared to the 660. if you are willing to spend 255$, get the 760 over the 660ti.

the relative equivelant AMD gpu's in this situation are 7870, 7870 XT(tahiti core), and 7950 with varying degrees of differences in games.

theres a difference between a 650ti and a 650ti boost. a 650ti is a nerfed card with a smaller memory bus compared to the 660. the 650ti boost is almost like a minor nerfed 660 with the same memory bus size. the normal 650ti cannot sli, the 650ti boost can is also another difference.

Why people recommending 660ti when the 760 is out for the same price and better performance
