Just recently my fps would drop to about 10-30 fps for about 2-5 minutes and then go back to normal. Then after about another 5 minutes it would drop again. It happens in all games from low spec games like Dota 2 or Audition to high spec games like Crysis 3. Any idea why? It has not happened before and I've done basic troubleshooting like updating drivers and re-installing them.
Specs: i7-3820QM@2.70GHz
RAM: 16GB
Graphic Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 675M
Windows 7 Home Premium

Solution
ok jsut to make sure it is not a driver problem download and install driver fusion.
download the latest nvidia drivers.

uninstall current nvidia driver and do not restart when prompted.
run driver fusion and do a nvidia driver clean and restart.
install nvidia driver again.

also download and install ccleaner, run the file cleaner and the registry cleaner multiple times untill no errors are found.

see if the above works first just to rule out driver problems.

Yeah the gpu went to about 80+ C so i went and put a stand fan where the laptops fans were. Apparently it overheats even though i have a cooling pad.
