CPU upgrade or More VRAM for BF4

HI Toms Hardware, this is my 1st post :D

I currently have an outdated system, Core i3 3220 and a RadeonHD 7850 (1GB)

I am unsure whether to upgrade to an i5 3570k for more cpu power or a better GPU (GTX 760 2GB) for more VRAM for the large textures in BF4. I am gaming in 1080p and I have to run on mostly low setings in BF3 to obtain a nice 60fps on 64 man servers. Is this because the CPU cant deal with all the players or does the GPU deal with that?

Thank you very much for your time,

Warren B

Yeah, I would probably also suggest a Core i5 now and then a GPU upgrade once the next generation of GPUs are here. The current GPUs on the market are getting a bit old; both Nvidia and AMD are using tech from circa early 2012.

I have done a ton of research already and this seems to be the same conclusion I came too. The new Nvidia cards are only coming in with 2GB of ram which wouldn't really future proof me at all. Ill wait and see what AMD brings to the market as their lower - mid range cards have editions with 3-4GB of ram. The i5 it is for now then. thank you for your to the point and rapid answer :D All the best
