First Homebuilt (budget) PC

Hello there,

This summer I'm going to build my very first (gaming) desktop. It'll be mainly used for gaming and some other activities not worth mentioning (office).
I've been searching the internet for a few days and I think I've come up with a general layout of the pc I want to build, so here goes!

Mobo: Asus P8B75-M LE, I don't plan on overclocking and I think it will manage (hypothetical) future upgrades.

CPU: Intel Core i5 3470
GPU: AMD HD Radeon 7850 Royalking Edition

PSU: I'm not sure what PSU I want to buy, I'll need a 500W PSU, but I'm not sure what PSU brand is reliable.

Case: Cooler Master Midi Tower Elite 430. It's a rather cheap case, there is room for an upgrade here. I think the case will work, but ofcourse I might be wrong here.

Cooler: Some cooler master fans, I suppose

Optical Drive: LG GH24NS90 Zwart

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500 GB

And also a windows 7 x64 copy.

Monitor: when I'm satisfied with the system I'll probably go for an 24-27" monitor.

So, this is it, please let me know what you think about it. I'm pretty unexperienced so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

The Cooler Master Elite 430 is a terrible case... i have had some experience with it, and its really flimsy and has no cable management. I used it for one of my builds, and i ended up throwing it out after a bit and going with the nzxt tempest 410.

If you don't want to spend much I would recommend something like a nzxt source 210 or Thermaltake commander series...

Thanks for your quick reply, I'll go for the Thermaltake commander series. Can you recommend a good, durable, reliable PSU?

+1 to the xfx power supply...
the 4th gen Intel chips are nice but you wont notice much difference in terms of performance.
If the 3470 and motherboard are more than $30 cheaper than the 4th gen counterpart just go for it.

There isn't much of a price difference at the moment, so I'll propably go for the 4th gen series with a new motherboard. I'd like to thank you all for your replies, it has helped me very much!

Cheers!
