My wife's HP Pavillion DV5 stopped booting and instead is just getting some error codes blinking from Caps and Numlock keys. So I pulled her HD (500 GB Hitachi) but the only thing I can find on it is a partition for HP_RECOVERY. I have tried to use FindandMount, Recuva and EaseUS to recover her data (which includes her doctoral dissertation research), but to no avail. When looking at the dir from command prompt I can see that the data found and data free don't come close to 500 GB. Any ideas????
