Hi there, so my gpu has been acting up lately and it i getting high temps and well, not performing as well as it should.

My computer hardware would not influence a bottleneck on my gtx 780 as i have a i7 2700k which will more than suffice the processing part. On top of this its idle rest is 40 degrees where as it should be around 30.

After gaming for a while I heard a rattling noise coming from my power supply, and when I like move the power supply cord (the thing that plug into the plug o.o) the noise stops, and it has brought me to the conclusion that it is a power problem.

THE QUESTION is guys, do i HAVE TO get a corsair power cord? or can I get any power cord?

Could i buy this for example http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mains-Cable-Lead-Power-Kettle/dp/B0011YI5II/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1373746587&sr=8-4&keywords=power+supply+power+cord

saying as you have such a prestige badge, could you tell me if my theory could be right, or would that just not make sense?

In the respect that could a 'funny' power cord have the effects of high gpu temps and it not performing quite as well as it should?
