I have both of these installed on my XP system with a AMD 6450 HIS card. I also have a Samsung 24" monitor with the MagicTune software.

My XP system is very slow at startup. I'm wondering if these 3 diff graphics related applications are conflicting and contributing to slow startup? Is that possible?

Which one should I uninstall and what should I keep?

Thanks for your help.

Todd

personally i would uninstall all 3, also check how many programs you have running at startup.

download ccleaner and run the file cleaner and run the registry cleaner multiple times.

so I don't really need any of these three? great!
My system has been slow for a while now.

I have ran ccleaner and registry cleaner. but I usually only run them once. I try running the reg cleaner multiple times and see what happens.

Regarding the graphics card, I only need the most up to date driver to be sure that it's will work properly?

you only really need the display driver and hdmi driver.

Check Disk De-fragment choose "analyze" and see how bad. SKIP this if you have a SSD.

It might not be any of that. Did that just happen after a download or you have been putting up with slow boot for a while?
Post#2 here has some ideas :http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com/forum/windows-xp/5...

I have deleted the 3 items from the original post and a few other misc items. I have ran ccleaner and registry cleaner a few times. My Wise Startup clock tells me that I have improved the startup time from 81 seconds to 64 seconds.

What about 3VIDIA 5.0? I'm thinking that I don't need this either.

if you do not know what it is or use it then you most likely do not need it.

i have never heard of it and it does not sound like anything necessary.
