Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 (£38.39)

Corsair XMS3 8GB DDR3 1600MHz (1x 8GB) (£39.98)

1TB Seagate Barracuda 3.5" SATA III HDD (£45.59)

Zalman Z5 Plus Black ATX Mid Tower Case (£38.99)

450W Powercool 80 PLUS PSU (£30.54)

LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x SATA DVDRW Drive (£15.70)

ASUS GeForce GTX 650 Ti 1GB GDDR5 (£84.96)

Arctic Silver Ceramique Thermal Compound Paste 2.7g (£2.95)

Are all of these components compatible with each other? Like can i do the BIOS update for the mobo and still overclock? Is there any issues that i would have while building and using the pc?

Thanks

They're compatible, but I'd make some changes.

For one, that motherboard won't overclock very well - so if overclocking is an important criteria to you, you'll need a more expensive one.

I'd change that PSU for an XFX 450W - Powercool aren't very good.

Also, it's better to use 2 x 4gb RAM modules rather than 1 x 8gb module.

I would also get a WD Caviar Black instead of that Barracuda, but that'll be more expensive.

Id agree with everything above, apart from the hard drive switch. Caviar Black isn't necessary, i dont mean this in a rude way :)

But if in the future i wanted to have 16gb ram should i keep the 1 x 8gb so i can just add another 1 x 8gb?
